After a baby comes in our lives, we become part researchers. We parents are extra careful in choosing everything for our little ones – be it food, clothes, shoes, baby lotion or bath wash.

With the number of products and varieties available in markets, choosing the righr one becomes difficult and overwhelming as every brand claims to be the best.

However we must choose the products for baby which are free from harsh chemicals, strong fragrances, allergens etc.

In my 6 years of motherhood journey, I have tried and used few brands of baby bath washes and here I am sharing review of one of them.

Bioderma ABCDerm Gel Moussant.

I have used this Bioderma product from almost an year for my son. No complaints till date. Touch wood!

The Bioderma ABCDerm Gel Moussant is a mild cleansing foaming gel which is –

  • ‍Paraben free
  • Soap free
  • Mild allergen-free fragrance
  • Does not sting the eyes
  • Non stripping base
  • Dermatologically tested
  • Safe for sensitive skin

Product Description:

It is of translucent viscous gel-like consistency

Plus Points:

Properties of this product which i liked the most are:

  1. Not much lather: It does not create too much of lather. Foam and lather are because of  addition of detergents and surfactants in huge quantity, and is often misunderstood as a sign of good cleanser. But these might cause skin and eye irritation.
  2. No strong fragrance: Babies do not need artificial perfumes, their natural fragrances are the best. Moreover, high chemical fragrances might cause allergies, skin irritation, respiratory breathing problems, eczema and might be toxic to various body organs.
  3. Less quantity is required: My 200 ml gel lasted for almost 10 months. This is proportional to body size and the condition of the baby (more dirty and muddy might need more quantity.)

Recommended:

Definitely YES. Since it is hypo-allergic and dermatologically tested, absolutely safe for new borns and babies. The mild gentle cleaning action makes it suitable choice for babywash.

Verdict: 4.5/5

Definitely a repeat buy.

Focus Areas:

The brand just needs more awareness for this product and competitive pricing (since inexpensive versions are also available).

Available at:
